Pájara is a town on the island of Fuerteventura, in Spain’s Canary Islands. At its heart is the Nuestra Señora de Regla Church, dating back to 1687. The stone facade features Aztec-inspired designs of sun rays and animals. Beyond town, trails weave through the vast Betancuria Rural Park, which protects the rounded hills and ravines of the Betancuria Massif. The park shelters native birds like canaries and blue tits.
